Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

Brett Kobernik
Issued by Brett Kobernik on
Tuesday morning, February 15, 2022
The avalanche danger on the Manti Skyline remains generally LOW.
People can travel around most anywhere without the concern of triggering a dangerous avalanche.
Watch for small wind slabs along the ridgelines and sluffing on steep slopes that hold loose sugary faceted snow.

Weather and Snow
Current Conditions
Clouds moved in Monday afternoon. Temperatures remained quite mild overnight with most mountain locations in the upper 20s to low 30s. Southwest wind is light.
Mountain Weather
We'll see high clouds this morning with more mid and lower level clouds moving in this afternoon. A splitting storm will dive down to our west then drift under neath us to the south on Wednesday. This storm won't do much for our area aside from perhaps a couple inches of snow if we're lucky. There are more storms lined up but they look pretty disorganized and I'm not that hopeful for decent amounts of snow over the next few weeks. The next chance for snow is Monday but this storm also looks like it will split and drift down to our west and slide underneath us to our south.
