Today the avalanche danger will quickly rise to MODERATE for wet loose avalanches. If the snow surface is becoming damp and wet, it's time to leave or change your aspect. Do not overstay your welcome on steep sunlit slopes today.
The avalanche danger is MODERATE at the upper elevations for wind drifted snow avalanches. The northeast winds are actively drifting snow in the Ogden area. Look for and avoid steep slopes that have been loaded by the wind.
Human-triggered avalanches are possible today and could be large enough to bury a human, especially in a terrain trap, like a chute or gully.
